“ It was the perfect place for us. Not too small, not too big. Cozy, but not too intimate. Low noise with the music and conversation going on. And, good prices. Waitresses are Great. Attentive and Efficient and very nice conversationalists. Mostly Portuguese food, which was great. Great spice sets, without hot spicy, unless you want it to be. Great looking bar with good drinks. It's become a regular with us. ”
“ The best octopus lagareiro I ever had!! ”
“ Great food, I loved everything! We had Little Neck Clams with Linguica, a Wonderful Pork dish (Pork Alentejana)- that was very flavorful and tender, Portuguese Fish & Chips, and Portuguese Soup. The food was amazing as was the service. I would definitely go back again and again! ”
“ I went to this restaurant late last night. Right before closing had the pork and little necks it was absolutely fabulous!! Service was excellent. I will be most definitely visit again . ”
“ Our waitress was really friendly and was happy to answer questions we had about items the menu. My husband had the shrimp mozambique and mopped up the sauce so that the plate was clean by the time she took it away. I had the Carne Porco a Mentejana (pork with littleneck clams and potatoes) and also loved it. Enough to take home leftovers that we had for lunch the next day. We got the dinner for 2 special, which included sangria or a bottle of wine. Chocolate mousse and a galao (espresso w/ steamed milk) finished up the meal nicely. So much on the menu sounds amazing so we'll have to go back next time we're in town. ”
“ All I can say is wow! The food was authentic, delicious and hands down the best Portuguese food in the area. Better than Alianca! We got the tips azorean style and the cacoila and for an app we got the Mozambique calamari that was on special. The calamari was so good I got no pics!! They were small rings and tentacles but delicious!!! Our server was friendly ,informative and was very good at explaining everything for our first time, offering diff items, asking questions. What a great lunch! This was our first time and we will be back, often! Thank you! If you haven’t tried here, you absolutely must!!! We were informed to call ahead for reservations during the weekend, I can see why!!! This place sits about 60 or so people with an open concept and bar as well, music on in the background and tasteful decor! You won’t be disappointed. Here are the pics I could capture! ”
“ Lovely little spot in New Bedford. Quiet and very clean. Our waitress was a sweet young lady who was attentive and knowledge about the menu. My meal was phenomenal. I had the Prego no Prato (petite Portuguese steak plate) and it was delicious. Hubby ordered Shrimp Mozambique (Sauteed shrimp finished in a buttery saffron sauce with garlic, scallions and lemon butter) and he said it was just a touch on the sweet side. I make this dish, but a bit spicier, so he's used to heat, not sweet, but he enjoyed it none the less. The red sangria was fantastic with my beef dish. They have dinner for two specials that include a bottle of wine. A perfect place for a date night, even on a moderate budget. Overall, a lovely meal in a well tended atmosphere. We'll be back for sure. 100% recommend giving them a try. ”
“ If you like authentic, tasty, well prepared Portuguese food, then drive here immediately!! This place is located in a residential neighborhood so don't expect fancy exterior. The parking is also limited to a small lot, however there is in street parking Interior is clean, neat but somewhat dated. It is however well set up with s bar area and separate dining room Wait staff was friendly and attentive, with our being overbearing. They made several excellent suggestions for what to eat. The Mozambique fishes were phenomenal. Flavorful, rich, and enough for even a very hungry person. Be sure to try both the red and white sangrias. Delicious. Prices are reasonable. This is a family place so expect some noise, but it just adds to the friendly atmosphere. ”
